dear gilli

Gilli,
Having seen you at the Xmas party and then reading your book I've come to the conclusion you are a human dynamo of artistic and business activity that operates with integrity and concern for the wellbeing of others. Thanks for the support and the sacrifices you've made on my and others behalf. Hope you have an enjoyable Christmas with family and a flourishing new year.
Tutwiler Station (Alex V)

Thank you for sharing your heart, spirit, and passion through your poetry. I enjoyed it thoroughly and I'm always inspired by you.
Blessings.
Randy

I finally sat down to spend some quality time with Gilli’s music & philosophy.  In the end, I was rejoicing and giving thanks for some of the most beautiful, inspiring moments of truth and music.  “WOW” is all I can say right now…I simply need to catch my breath and take it all in.  What an amazing gift she shares… Thank you! - Andrea Standley

Thank you for being you, for contributing to this business in such an inspiring and wholesome way. People like you drive me on, though there are days I think...I've done it/am doing it all 'backwards'. There's no such thing. We just live our lives. We live them well.

Many thanks to you for just putting yourself out there. The Mandela quote you have on the warrior girl website is very inspiring...I spend a lot of time apologizing for being who I am in order to not make others feel bad, so thanks for that wake up call. I wish you cosmic, eternal success, Leslie Moruza

great performance at genghis. i just wanted to let you know how much i enjoyed your performance and meeting you; it was very cool that i got a signed copy of your cd.

i attended one of your sessions at the TAXI road rally, ...well i bought your cd and book that day, and i'm part way through the book and just listened to the whole cd. thanks for just existing the way you are. how inspiring.  and as soon as i got to your site, the song "be" started to play. JUST WAY TOO SEXY< I"M SORRY! your whole cd was a real pleasure. i just let it roll without interruption as i layed back on a couch that is the same green as the cd. and i thought: later i will check out her website....and then i got distracted.....and then i found your site when i went to my friend Irish Hugh's website! you see, that's psychic something.  i grew up away from cities too.  hope i can be the opening act for you someday.  all the pictures of you on your cd are good, and that color of green is...supreme or something. right on. see you later, and god bless you.

Just want you to know that you inspire me. You continue to move forward with grace while blazing a trail for yourself and those around you. You have a great blast of energy in your being and it is all for good.
Blessings...

Hi Sweet Girl!
Thank you so much! It was lovely meeting you BUT seeing you perform knocked me out! You are not only a skilled and talented singer/songwriter but your stage presence is AMAZING. You owned everyone in that audience from the moment you flashed that first coy glance at them. I made myself stop watching and look around at the audience during each of your performances... not one person was drinking or smoking or talking or squirming in their seat. All eyes were locked on you and that piano that you somehow turned into a full orchestra. Warm and witty, wry humor and intelligent lyrics... the cute, sexy girl-next-door with a kick-ass voice and a magic piano - what more could anyone want? Jeez gal, you've got it all going on! Don't work too hard - rest once in a while!! Talk to you soon! --Judy @ Oasiscd.com

myspace is extraordinary...i probably would not have heard you up to this point without it...
am glad i did. only been on for about a week...still, you are the first artist i have heard that has something extra...out of all the listening i have done....the "it" factor.
played piano for a long time now....and appreciate your talent...your passion, and soul.
thanks...ciao

A special thanks to the gals for coming all the way from Portland, Fran Gray, and Sacramento Roberta Chevrette two locals Natalia, and Debra , that's me, for making our Females On Fire event at Spellbinding Tales a joy for all! Have gotten great feedback on the concept and songs on the CD so far! Thanks to all!!! Debra Knox

Debra,
Thanks so much for going to the work of putting the FOF II Bay Area Release show together. The whole night was a blast and so much fun to hear and play with everyone. The magnitude and variety of the songwriting and performing craft present that night was amazing. Also, I loved that Steven K. came over to play with the girls;-) and MC. He is such a great songwriter and a fun person. Thank you again Debra. xo Fran

Just wanted to again say that you are a powerful lady with a powerful calling! (And what a gift, of course!) Everyone did beautifully. What a blessing to be amongst so many beautiful diamonds of artists with such different gifts in music to offer! Congratulations!
Keep the faith....Michael-Ann

Hello Gilli,

It was great to see you in LA - the launch event was wonderful. Thanks for all you did to put this together! Jacinta and I had a great trip to LA - extremely productive and a lot of fun. Jacinta had a great performance on Sunday night at Here Lounge to a packed house. A wonderful vibe in West Hollywood - we're looking forward to returning to the west coast! Hope we can work with you again on another project, and best of luck with FOF2! regards, Paula

Hi, Gilli. My name is April. We have never met, but I wanted to take a moment to tell you how much your words on Freedom meant to me today. Really. The timing is certainly one of those magical moments. Thank you.

Hey Superstar,
so excited about all these wonderful happenings you're creating for yourself, for all of us and of course the inspiration for us to do it for ourselves! Just adore you and your spirit!

Hi Gilli,
Thank you to you for writing such a wonderful and inspiring book, "I am a Professional Artist." It is because of your book that I was able to put my fears and doubts aside, finish my CD myself, and take the show on the road. I found it to be very well written and chock full of useful information that I could start applying immediately. All the best, Setra

I had the good fortune of crossing paths with Gilli at the harmony
festival last weekend. I gotta say.......Evolution just leaps off that
sampler and smacks ya upside the head. My wife ( a musician/writer in a
femme trio) and I are listening as I write this. Good, good stuff. Larry

Hi Gilli!
It was so great to meet you last weekend. Thank you for all the love and support you give to all of us! You made a lasting difference in my life. Looking forward to seeing you perform live again!
-Lisa Lazo

My name is Eddie Felker. We met at the NEMO conference in Boston this fall. I picked up your book and I really love it. I'm gearing up to do a real CD, and "I am a professional artist" has really inspired me to look at things differently and with real hope. I didn't get to start reading it until just recently, and I am not quite finished yet, but already I am recommending it to fellow artists.
Also, I'm hearing your music for the first time right now in my office while hanging out on Myspace. Great Stuff! Im easing into my Monday with ya!
Thanks again for your book, it's really a great resource for artists. I hope many more people discover it.
Happy Holidays,
Eddie

Hello Gilli!
Geralyn Beaulaurier here, one of yr. Songsalive folk, writing to say Hello & Great to see you perform at the Talking Stick last night! Sounding Great! I've been thinking of you actually for several reasons.
I want to Thank You for yr. Wonderful "I AM a Professional Artist" book, which I've been reading lately & is Full of Great Inspirational Stuff!

10 Kudos to represent all the Great and Extraordinary things you continue to do for the world and the generations to come! I look forward to what new discoveries of truth, creativity, inspiration, encouragement, wisdom that your book will plant in myself and others lives. You are truly one in a billion for this generation and already deserve to be considered a true visionary mastermind for all that you have contributed to making the world and other's lives better, beautiful and brighter with your books, music, paintings...etc.You are like a modern day Trinity(the Matrix) that I can say I have had the pleasure of knowing and seeing perform Impossible feats that the Industry and World said could not be done! Thank you for freeing our minds to be able to define success and learn the do's and dont's of being a Professional Artist! You are blessed to have mentored the masses and to have such a great team on your side to include Toni who is a mother to all those who need love, encouragement and let's not forget hugs!!! Because of your presence in my life and others I am now encouraged to raise the bar in my life and really make my life and days count with Purpose and Passion!!! Hope to come see you perform again sometime in 2006!

Dear Gilli,
Hi, we meet in Sydney recently at the Songsalive workshop, I bought your book. Just wanted to say I loved it, it was very timely for me and confirmed my existing attitude toward my career, but more importantly made me really focus on new and fresh ways. You really spoke directly to me and congratulations on living your dreams. I am a Country music singer/songwriter and so often I hear about the 'traditional' way for Australian country artists, it frustrates me and I feel its so limiting in terms of communicating to a much wider audience. Your book made me really consider a non-traditional and much more creative way to reach an audience and create my career. It has given me clarity about who I am as a professional artist. So thanks, I feel for the first time, I could actually really do this. I wondered if you have every considered mentoring artists? (Yes I do Amanda... www.warriorgirlmusic.com/coaching) This may be really out there for you, ... Thanks again for your wonderful work and book. It is so inspirational to have people like you on the planet. Thank you and looking forward to hearing from you. Kind regards Amanda Johnson.

Hi Gilli,

I met you during your panel presentation at the Rockrgrl Conference in Seattle in November. I thoroughly enjoyed your contribution then and continue to appreciate all that you do for independent artists through the Songsalive! Organization.
I meant to write you after I first read this email from you but then got all caught up in working on the final phases of my CD and forgot about doing so... I was cleaning out my email folders and saw it again today and re-read again... what an inspiring read! Thank you for taking the time to share and remind us why we really are doing this! You've inspired me... I am now going to go and join Songsalive!
Thanks again!
Best Wishes,
Halie Loren

I love reading your thoughts. I am just starting as a songwriter and have all the fears and dreams you write about. Thanks for the inspiraion. John In

Gilli -- I heard you speak about DIY at the TAXI road rally -- you were awesome! I'd already decided before attending that I'd make my next project an indie -- but I was totally psyched after hearing you speak. I have to confess I was also so happy to see a woman on the panel -- there was way too much testosterone up there!
I loved most what you said about networking. You said we should ask ourselves "how can I help this person?" I really resonated with that comment. My mom always used to say to me that the music biz will "eat me alive" because I'm too "nice." I disagree. I think the world (including the music biz) responds and reflects back the love we send out. Thanks for your shining example of that!
Best wishes,
Mala Waldron

Hi, this is Jordan Page, we met in Boston
I just wanted to write you and let you know that I have now listened to your album Extraordinary Life all the way through and it is beautiful, intense, and just what I needed to hear. I think you should do a live album, your live show is extraordinary all by itself.

Hi Gilli,
I just wanted to say I got your cd and I am listening to it these days. I find it really great, I would say "extra-ordinary":))) I really appreciated your arrangements choices, the use of particular sounds together with acoustic instruments, really original indeed. But most of all I have been really touched by your sincerity and spontaneity in your singing and writing, these are virtues that these days are hard to find in an artist. My favorite songs are Hollywood and Undone, and naturally the Italian version of Bye, really nice indeed! Congratulations also to your musicians, who gave a great contribution to the whole sound of the album. This is just what I need to say about your music. Thanks for the listen and the emotions. Alex
It totally brings me into the space, the place in New York City. The life, the love and the insight of one who knows what it is like to live in a constantly revolving, evolving city that is unforgiving, yet fascinating to see as a spectator and/or as a once removed participant of a place that mysteriously co-exists with sanity and insanity, the rich and poor and indifferent. Are people aware, or do they just ignore what is going on around them? Don't let on what you truly feel. Do we entertain to inform or to persuade "them", whom ever will listen, how to awaken to what is real and right? Then if the latter then let us take a moment and pray to whatever god, diety, or spiritual place for the people of the south who lost it all and the souls of the ones watching over their neighbors and friends from the other side chillin' in the New Orleans we once knew. P.S. Gilli, you are a great talent. Your performance in the seminar you held at the I.M.C. was phenomenal. I can't wait to see you live again!
In responce to Gilli's spoken word piece www.gillimoon.com/poetry about NYC

Hi!

I caught the show at The Mint on Saturday night and it was an
incredible musical experience. I picked up the Females On Fire CD (also bought one
for a friend--she will love it) and it is spectacular! The only
difficulty is learning the lyrics so I can sing along! I'm slightly
hearing impaired and sometimes it's very difficult for me to hear
some of the words. Will you be posting the lyrics on the web anytime
soon?
Thanks again for the incredible show and introducing me to some
amazing artists. I'm moving out of the LA area this week and am
pretty bummed to not be up on the independent artist scene. But once
I find a new job, one of the first things I will do is buy some of
their CDs! I need more of their music!
Cheers,
Melanie

You are SUCH the WARRiOR GiRL... so passionate and energetic and.. oh yeah- TALENTED! "I'm a riot in my own living room..." I'm really getting into ALL the cool places you have to visit on your site. Hopefully I am one of many many many... Peace! Joanna DeVoe http://iluvkoshi.com

Gilli - I think your new CD is extraordinary. You are a wonderful vocalist and songwriter! Barbara Jordan - Music Supervisor
I really enjoyed your album - sexy, sultry intimate and somewhere  between a younger hipper Olivia and Portishead. ~ Cat Cohen, UCLA

Wanted to tell you that Extraordinary life is a great album. Especially, Evolution, Bye is such a lonely word, Spaceship, Deconstruction and the Italian version of Bye. Great production and arrangements. Thanks for giving me a cd.

I finally had a chance to listen to your CD this morning. It was interesting because I was in a not so good mood and had been trying to contact one of my good friends to talk to him about some of things I am going through. Well after several tries I realized I wasn't going to be able to contact him so I started my daily routine. I had a few errands to run so I decided to put your CD on while I prepared to leave. From the very first song your album spoke to my heart. It was like a story book had been opened and it contained bits and pieces of my life. Some of the songs spoke directly to my circumstances while others helped to put things into perspective. I am absolutely floored by your talent. I feel your giving of self in the music. I was extremely moved. Your album is wonderful. Know that it also served as a lift to a friend in need. The timing was perfect. Continue to bless the world with you beautiful songs. I put your CD in the CD changer in my car, so I will be riding with Gilli Moon.
Spread Love Ducado VeGA

"I listened to your CD and really like "spaceship." I admire your drive and determination as an indie artist. All the best,
- Jocelyn

"I listened to you new CD and it sounds great. I think it's your best yet. Very creative and engaging. Great job!" - Jeff

"you voice sounds great. love the mix. don't know what it is but american recordings just have a better all round sound and great mixes. your vocal is right up in the mix yet all the instruments are heard.this is what I call great production." Roxanne (Aus)

I like the song "Hollywood" very much, it oozes class, nice melodic harmonies and great composition and arrangement. anymore!! Keep up the good work!!! - regards Paul (uk)

"I love Enchanted Forest
opening... a little bit tribal, sets a mood, then the so honest lyrics." - Catie

"Gilli, Undone is awesome. Absolutely my favorite."
- Cristin

"
I think the song "Undone" is that I heard here. What a gorgeous piece of music with a great rockin' chorus hook. Doesn't get any better than that... :-)" - Lynn

re Little Boy Lost: "This is top quality indie music. A funky, swaying beat, a bright and clear voice, an empathetic message and some tasty tenor sax licks add icing to the cake. Much kudos to you, Gilli!" - Jason

re Enchanted Forest: "Gilli, WOW, I like it soooo much. Its Awsome." - Jack

"Evolution is my favorite!" - Chris

Hi my name is MIKE, I really enjoyed going thru your inspiring website. I am very much in line with your thinking, it is nice to know that there other people who want to make a difference in this world, and who have such a handle on their lives....I am so blessed to have read about you and all are ambitions, and I honestly really thought about the concept and the importance of "letting go," and allowing GOD, or the universe to take control of our lives, and lead us to glory. I know in my heart that I must still learn to let this process happen, and for me, it is about allowing myself to enjoy NOW and to not get so hyper focused about the future. I know I must slow down and end have a good time here, and I know Music is that driving force to where I want to go...I believe in my heart, that what you are doing is a true labor of love, but above all you are a true example of someone who understands the importance of believing in the higher purpose and I can't tell you how thankful I am to have come across such a wonderful person...Keep living your life, filled with divine light...I can't wait to find out more about you and all that you accomplish here ....Mike

I love reading your thoughts.  I am just starting as a songwriter and have all the fears and dreams you write about.  Thanks for the inspiration. John In Florida

You are an inspiration to me.  I love you in the artistic sense of the word.  I always thought it was much better to create your own works of artistic vision, self promote and sell, as you go about sharing your love of art with the true patrons of the art world.  You go Warrior Girl. Keep fighting the good fight!  Art for Arts Sake!  Fear No Art!  Sincerely Jeffrey Alan Rochlin

GIRL YOU ROCK!!!! I haven't heard music this fresh and true in a long time. I will be the first to admit I'm no expert on music, but your work is unbelievable. I can't wait to buy the new album. - Susan

gilli, i had the joy of seeing you perform last fall @ moonshadows (I was up a few sets after you) and wanted to tell you how inspiring you are, and truly amazing to watch live. Best of luck in your career. You've got a fan for life in me, and I hope you'll add me as a friend.
Best to you, Jenna Wilson

Saw you at artist salon. Your performance knocked me out. I am on your e-mail list. I am a poet, lyricist, motivational speaker. Love your spirit. Your ability to stay independent and not compromise your creative integrity is so cool in a business where you can so easily become a commodity rather than an artist.  Jeffrey

I wanted to say thank you for a great performance ... I always enjoy your performances; you bring something different into the room each time. I especially loved when you encouraged everyone to dance and just let loose. I could feel the energy bursting through my whole body.

WOW.  I witnessed, in the course of a only a few songs, an entrancing trip through your personality, and world as you view it.  I was sucked in, and slapped around, and left only wanting more.  I am very picky about what I like live, and you captured all that I worked to accomplish  in a live show.  To describe it best "You grab people be the throat and shake, but then give them a gentle kiss and pat on the head, and send them on their way" left with a total feeling of toe tapping fulfillment, and friendly scars of good times had.  I hope to see more.
I am such a sucker for layered sounds that actually take you somewhere. Good stuff!

Aside from being beautiful on the inside and out, she is one of the top (currently unsigned) performing artists in the country. Gilli gives 110 % to her music. She is a soulful, deeply poetic, driven, diva, dance vibe, multi dimensional experience. In essence... She totally rocks - Patti www.smartwomen.org

"The more I listen, the more I want. Gilli Moon is like a drug perhaps heroin or similar type. Every now and then one comes across an artist on this site that just blows you away and I must admit I've been blown away by her voice, talent and her style. All I have to say is APPLAUSE!!!!!!!!"
Markku

"Gilli you are a breath of fresh air to all that desire to achieve being an independent artist. Again i am overwhelmed by your accomplishments. You rightly deserve the name Warrior-Queen because you have fought a persistent fight for others. thankyou"
- Brent, Philadelphia

Your words are fundamental, spare and powerful.  ... your thoughts roll like fresh apricots into my spam-cram mailbox, and reach into my soul.  I'm tired, you warm and refreshing.  I'm wrung from giving all, you bring me all that I am.  Thank you for being simply gilli moon, and for taking time to send the love.  Thank you for being exactly that, in this moment.  I could kiss you head to toe, if you won't mind tears of gratefulness!

ciao.

Thanks for continuing to inspire.

If every artist listened to and responded to those that were "looking out for the best interests" the state of the arts would be in worse shape than it is presently in.  With all of the vanilla musicians and non descript painters.

Dianna sent Trance and I  the songs for  The Goddess Within...

I am just listening to your song right now, WOW!! I LOVE IT!!

I (actually, my band) really enjoyed her performance last night at Monsoon Cafe. I was especially impressed with Gilli's vocal range and strength, which isn't as apparent when you listen to the recorded version of the same tracks, though they are still good. Live performances are always so much better!!! And of course, who can beat getting to play that beautiful grand piano with it's resonating tones. Amanda and band :)

I've been listening to the "Songsalive!" compilation cd you put out and I have to say that your song ROCKS! Really...It's my favourite one on that disk (Woman). The production was great. Lyrically, I can relate to always being a giver and finally now just taking time for myself and my needs. I also enjoyed the emotion you put forth in your performance and the vocal dynamics displayed. Nice backgrounds too!!! Yeah...hearing your tune made sense for me why your comments were so beneficial. So I just wanted to give you props for your song. You got skillz you sexy "Woman!" Please keep me in the know for any and all of your artistic endeavours. It was a pleasure making your acquaintance. Jamie

Your energy is delicious. The music a living force with your direction and focus, it is an unbeatable combination. Beautiful and funky. Thanks for your wonderful songs and creative spirit. Good Luck always to you. Check us out. We're JJ Slim www.mp3.com.au/jjslim

Saw you at the Greedy Bastards show last night. Awesome show - wished you'd got a little more time on stage. {I'd probably agree with this guy to get you more time on stage but i'm always wanting more of gilli moon on stage! tk nosing in while sending you email addresses 8-) }

Come back to Toronto soon!
Steve

I was stoked to see that you will be touring with the "Greedy Bastard Tour" One of your stops is in Kalamazoo, MI at the State Theatre. I'm really looking forward to meeting you, being that I work there. The ironic thing is that I was looking for some type of internship with Warrior Girl and hope to talk with you. Anyways, rock on....you have some great stuff to offer. Take care..hope to see you in November! michelle

Was looking at Eric's diary, and had no idea how many times you guys were through Toronto. If I'd known that I could have shown you the town! (when my buds from the Alan Parsons band are here, I usually only get less than a day to go out on the town). Anyways, I hope you all had fun and got to do something besides rehearse, play and do interviews.

Saw you at the Greedy Bastards show last night. Awesome show - wished you'd got a little more time on stage.

WOW! I finally found you on the internet...it's as if you've escaped from a toy store! You're amazing! Hypnotic! I saw you at Sin-e in New York for the amazing Jeff Buckley Legacy Tribute. You stole my heart and soul! I became an admirer from the moment you pierced that crisp pure voice of goodness into the crowd. You are a true entertainer. I made the journey to New York for the Sin-e show on a budget of only a one way ticket to NYC and a cab fair from the airport to the show. I'm from Oklahoma and I'm losing my best friend, my grandfather who is 94 and blind.... and leaving this 'tour' of life soon. Without silly details of my personal life.... my spiritual life has been completely re- directed yet again. What a beautifully pure and organic experience. I had a dose of purity that night at Sin-e. The kind of purity that transends you to another reality... a new reality. It has been the food for my soul here with my grandfather. It's amazing. The music you create is unique, and full of warm fuzzies and sunshine kisses, all the good stuff that life is all about... Everyday (since the show), my life has stored that blissful explosion of goodness within me and I now share that with my Grandfather... it has enriched my life and now I feed that to him. I appreciate the honor of hearing you and the other talents that were there. It has helped me feed my soul a little more to get through this tough time. Life is so beautiful! Thank you! You are one of the many splendid and beautiful things that keeps this world a beautiful place. I honor your spirit. What a beautiful blessing we all have by having you around. I hope to see you again. You are a powerful presence. You're gift goes beyond even what you or I see. You have a faerie like quality that tickles the soul. What a groovy thing to see and be a part of. Thank you for sharing your beauty and sprinkling sunshine and pixie dust over us. You're a legend! All the blessings to you from this world and beyond.
my kindest regards and wishes, april

Was looking around the internet for doamins for my own website and tried my nickname in various versions and found your pages. Have been browsing them for a while now - like what I saw - next it is the music, and I love music - Australia mmmmm. I guess I could go on forever about that - brilliant keep up the good work - take care best wishes from Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland

I just heard your music and website and think you are absolutely inspirational and amazing! Thank you for all your incredible work. I'm an artist living in LA and wonder if you ever collaborate. I would love to write with you. Please check out the site above and I really hope to hear back from you! - melisa

Hey Gilli, Just wanted to congratulate you on yet another accomplishment(the mp3 site stats). As always your biggest NY fan waiting with baited breath...something fishy about that... for your NY appearance.
Fondly,
Your Bud Vin

MORO! = hello! Greetings from Finland.. Nice music.. I´m lisning your music first time right now and I like it :D it sounds perfect:)You have beatiful voice :) I don´t have nothing better to say... so see u

HELLO gilli *big nose nuzzle*
*lots of happy tail wagging* I'm looking forward to your next visit to Australia. I often think of what you said to me - "you win fans one at a time". I'm always astounded at the energy you have for the projects you take on.

Hi Gilli, great to see a local artist making such a big mark on the other side of the world. I present a local music program on 2CCC (Central Coast Community), and next time your back home, I would love to have you in the studio for a chat and some acoustics. All the best, Kevin

"i attended the nashville music conference where you sat in as a panelist for the cd review. i noticed in the j. buckley newsletter that your name was mentioned as an artist who was around or perhaps shared the stage with jeff in his sin-e days. is it possible you could write back and tell me a little bit more about that experience. i like many others am a huge fan of his and being i missed his shows when he was here, i kinda of have to experince them through those who have had the pleasure of se "

hi greg

it was an awesome experience in ny for the tribute night. But alas I never met jeff. I met his mother mary a year ago and have been close since. Ironically I was a huge JEff Buckley fan (since his death) and am heavily influenced by his music. This is why i was a good fit for the NY show.

take care and stay in touch. - gilli moon

Yes, Atlanta is the Oz of the South. Met you at Eddie's Attic...happenstance, if there is such a thing. Enjoyed recognizing your passion in vocation; evidence in the distinction between that and profession, as the same of work is to play....elementary fun.

I clicked on you site from Carey Slades web site. I am blown away, I love your sound. I am a musician/songwriter and am totally humbled when I hear a talent like yours. I have written about 40 songs, but no band to play them and it gets frustrating. I love Carey, she is extremely talented and yet does not get the kind of recognition she deserves. I keep her CD in my auto for road trips. The talent that is below the hype of modern industry machinery music is awesome. Good home grown music has the integrity that belongs to the heart. I would love to travel the world and just listen to local talent and get to know the world through their musical eyes. To bad!!! Anyway I love what I hear. I have a song called Bullshit Love that I would love to hear you sing, but then you probably get lots of people peddling their music on you. If you are so inclined give me an address and I will send you a copy of this song. I just love your sound. I have songs at www.mp3.com/craig_leonard. The only problem is they are poorly recorded and my vocals don't sound good. A poor rendition of those songs and recorded direct to my living room recorder. Anyway thanks for you talent. I will order your CD when I get a few extra pennies in my account.
Thanks
craig leonard,

Dear Gilli & Toni:
I was at Hallenbecks tonight and I spoke with you briefly.
I just wanted to say how honored I feel to have been in the audience. Music is so important to my life. I have to make time for things like tonight.
I have been to Lauren's shows/gigs before and enjoy her music very much. Tonight was different because I had the sense that I was sent there, a series of Synchronicitys made me follow through with going. I read the first chapter of your book Gilli,  the messages in it are something I need right now..I began writing a book nearly 3 years ago and it's going very, very well..It's a very exciting project but I have to constantly do the balancing thing in which you speak about in your book. I find your words so very helpful to me right now. I am someone who knows the entertainment business very well, been in it over 20 years, but to shift to the creative part and back to business is a task at times..I got my message loud and clear from you all tonight.
Your words of encouragement, your music, and your book are a wonderful gift to my life right now and my own creative process....I appreciate you & I thank you. My book is a biography of a singer's life, it's tedious work...but I love it. This project has been magical for many, many people, it's got a love force on it that can not be denied.
Thank you for being at the other end of where I was sent....

We REALLY enjoyed the Living Room on Sunday..what a great concept..thanks for including us! And for having Katie play too. Gilli..you were awesome! It was fun to see you perform more than two songs..you move so beautifully and each piece is an entirely different artistic offering, can't wait for the next show I'll be able to see.. Toni your "cool" made everyone feel good and happy in a situation where other people would have gone "agro" as they say here in Cali..yes..better too few than too many chairs..definitely a good sign..

Peace & keep well, Bridget

6/11/03 Gilli,
just wanted to thank you for the amazing show you did last nite with your band. Your wonderful spirit, astounding vocal range and expression, and sense of fun really carried well.
Unfortunately, the lyrics didn't - at least where I was sitting- and I really wanted to hear them better. Is that the HArd Rock or just where I was sitting?  Great band too - especially the guitar player. Nice stuff. (Including the keys - wish they'd been louder!) Anyway, it was a treat right from the acoustic acts all the way thru your set, where the aptly named hard rock chairs finally got my butt tired!  Rynata is a real kick and most of the first artists on were terrific - especially, of course, Lisa Johnson, always good.  (One of the few Gilli-class vocalists there.)

6-1-03 Just wanted to let you know that I saw you at CC this past Wednesday. I was the one who wrote I was a songwriter with asterisks and stuff and said only "genius" in the comments on your performance. I especially loved "jazz!" she commanded and you shifted gears swiftly and smoothly. Was very much a musician's joke that everyone got a kick out of. I have posted my link for inclusion in your link swap at www.songsalive.org to www.garykonigsberg.com I also am a member of www.artistsforabetterworld.org and spoke with George Alger and with Barbara Oliver last nite. I told them I would like to be a liaison between the two groups and would like to discuss with you or with whoever is in charge of your marketing or such how that would be of best benefit to your organization.

5-27-03 Hey Gilli & Toni..

Danielle Egnew here from Pope Jane.  Once again, fabulous show Thursday, and wonderful record!  I do very much like your new "Shania Twain" song... my being from Montana and all.  Being a producer myself, I could have gone on and on about the "ear candy" on your record...

4-20-03 Hello Gilli- It was terrific seeing you at the booth, on the panel, and on stage at the Call to Arts Expo. And what a wonderful treat to get to hear you perform a few of your lovely songs. There are people with writing craft; there are people with lightning inside; there are people who touch every listener. You have all this and more. Thanks! Hugs, Scott The G-Man http://gmanmusic.com http://delvianrecords.com

Hey Gilli, you blew the house away at the Call to Arts Expo..whoa! What a voice! And that exquisite thundering keyboard work! You are an awesome talent and I can't wait to hear more of your music..it should be all over the radio! Keep going strong......

Heard you at WhisperZ two weeks ago. Outstanding performance. I enjoyed your break from convention while still maintaining an entertaining performance without being pretentious or arty. (Plan to purchase your book soon enough). Koala Oi(?) Erik Sheppard

The site looks great. The record is Great and I am very glad I got to play drums on it.
good luck and keep it up,

3-15-03

wow, you are an expressive soul! I love that. I love the freshness, and unique, fearless energy that you put into all that you do.

yes, indeed, I have observed your paintings and find
your art, as well as all your expressions of creativity quite inspiring.... makes me feel like doing stuff myself... Of yours I particularly loved:
ocean, spirit, woman dark, see the humor, and that bizzare little flash piece: whats a nice girl like you....
couldn’t help but think to myself, she's already ascended (or resurrected, as the case may be).  Interesting, I often think that is a major theme of this game we call life in a way... throwing off the chains that bind, and rediscovering the truth that we’ve forgotten (or have been programmed to forget by the culture). So many people live their lives just lock-step in march with what they are told to do, or conditioned to do.. numb and blind to who they really are, living in a consensus illusion.   I love free-thinking,  self empowered people.  Much of your work, and I notice... in the way you perform your music, seems to be all about setting yourself free.  Believe me when I say, I can relate.

best  of  luck to you out there on the road. I’m sure you must be collecting some great experiences. Enjoy!

Jack

3-12-03 KIA ORA Gilli, My name is Messepa Edwards, I am a memeber of a Pacific womens trio called Manuhiri, originally all 3 of us are from New Zealand and of Maori decent, currently living in the Northern NSW Byron Bay region. We have been singing together now for the last 5yrs and our music is a mixed fusion of Contemporary, Funk, Blues, Jazz with the natrual blends of our traditional and cultural sounds of the Pacific. A very good brother of mine Lake Crowley told me all about your website and told me to check it out. I am so glad that I did because it truly supported and encouraged me to continue working on my own projects. This yr Manuhiri is doing its world tour launching off a project that gave birth some time last yr while we were over in the UK for the commonwealth games in Manchester. Thank you for being such an inspiration, I love the website of warriorgirl. Looking forward to keeping in contact Arohanui, Messepa Edwards, Manuhiri

3-9-03 Thanks so much for sending me your links and adding me to your connect list. I can’t tell you what a pleasant surprize it was to come into that little coffee house last night (the Muse) and be treated to such inspired, passionate, creative and (most of all) authentic music!  With so much formula-based gimmick-motivated music permeating the airwaves, I stopped listening to anything new a long time ago.  Artists such as yourself are a bright ray of hope in an otherwise desolate landscape of consumer-based banality. Although I only heard two or three songs, I heard enough to get a ‘feel’ for who you are and where  you are coming from. Very impressive. You are a true artist. One who expresses with boldness, courage and passion.  I so admire that. And I know one, because I am one. Good luck in your travels. I applaud you living your life from your heart. I’ll look you up when you are back in this homogenized valley. Till then, knock ‘em dead! Jack. Ps ---I have lots of art on my website: www.cromptonstudios.com

emails from the Cindy Alter benefit concert aug 31:

It was an awesome event. You did a great job putting it together and keeping it running.  Thanks for letting me be a part of it. I'm glad to hear a lot of money was raised, that was the point after all.  Maybe we can all gather together and do it again to celebrate when Cindy is well. - Charlie White

Thanks for putting on such a great event. I was thinking about my Dad a lot, who died of cancer and how hard it was, and wouldn’t wish that on anyone. So suffice to say I was very moved. Completely forgot how to play and sing...
Anyway, you did a really good thing and was proud to be associated. - Libby Lavella

I’ve never played so bad and felt so good about a performance!  Tee Hee!  Gilli – you really are an inspiration.  Thanks for bringing this together.  Cindy is just the greatest and so are you.   And all the performers were wonderful. Looking forward to the Songsalive Expo! Camille

feedback on "Woman" the album

8-28-02 Hey G! Finally got to listen to "Woman". The only problem with it is I CAN'T STOP LISTENING! It's really good! I really like the way you took "Need You Tonite" from the dance floor to the bedroom. Dripping with sex. You can smellit. Ouch. Yup. This could break you outta the indie world. Almost every cut is radio friendly, & the collection stands as a complete work. I'm guessing that's why you chose to have so little time between songs. I am humbled & honored to be in your presence, oh Indie Queen... - Jimi Yamagishi (read his review for Creative Line)

Hi Gillian, Saw your Woman video and loved it congratulations!!! Lots of stuff going on in your life, I see, I am happy for you. Love, Sandy

your "woman" is in my hands... caressing my ears... melting and scattering  me across the horizon.  ii hope you will understand and not be offended if ii remain speechless.  words are very unnecessary. you and ii don't need to be "propped up" in  that manner anymore. through my silence, ii reveal to you... everything.  with all love, tenderness, humility and respect

I just downloaded your new album... I like it .. It's a departure from the poppier Temperamental Angel it's more introspective It's good I like Real, Damaged or Broken and the seducer...

You are one of the most complete people upon first impression that I have ever met. I hope the tour continues to go well for you/went well for you.   Joel Edelman   Editor   Gartner

Gilli, I promised myself that i would sit right down when I got home and tell you how incredible you were tonite, but frankly the words escape me. It is so rare in songwriter circles to find anyone really strong in every way as a performer, but you certainly fill that and more. As a singer, performer, writer, the way you check in with the audience yet still maintain that deep connection with your inner process, your great sense of play, is nothing short  of inspiring. But I still gotta see ya paint and sing at the same time. You sure blew all in the room away with your beautiful material and performance, perfectly suited to letting yourself out to play, okay I'll stop gushing now. ta. SCOTT

8-1-02 - had some interesting hate fan mail in last month. one particular got my goat. an anonymous hate mail ('Walkin' on the Moon'). well, it had to come some time. read it and everyone's wonderful responses about it here...

August 12 - (in response to 'Walkin' on the Moon') I read your diary, in which you most recently commented on a piece of hate mail. I was inspired to write you in response. I am a Boston-Based singer/songwriter who has been in the business awhile. Allow me to expose another perspective: We seem to have a lot in common. Your involvement in every aspect of your career is essential to success and you are brave in undertaking all that you have. . . moving full speed ahead, yet not forgetting to look back at where you were and help those that began where you did. Your involvement in Songsalive!, your initiative in starting your own label, the attention you pay to your fan base, among other things, makes you special and demonstrates your unrelenting persistence and passion. To be a songwriter is to be vulnerable, for our music comes from the depths within. There will be those who take cheap shots, and the most mature way to deal with that is, as you did, remember to be humble. From someone who has done his homework and knows a little about the business, I can see that you wear many hats and wear them well. Hats off to you. You are a strong Woman Gilli (a Temperamental one perhaps, but certainly an Angel! :-)), and for that you should be proud as I'm sure you inspire other women to be what they can be. . .and to know that to be vulnerable is also to be strong. Very Truly Yours, Christopher Marston Fellow Singer/Songwriter

Dear Gilli - overly-concerned with outward appearances.

Touring the NW July 02.

hi Gilli,   just went through your newsletter. although it's pretty long, I find that you are doing great work to get indie music on the map. and I also have respect for how you promote your work, even with a book. you get the buzz going, girl!   I was wondering. will you stay indie, or will you join a major once they knock on your door?

all the best,   Onno   Commuse indie rec co   Red to Violet* www.redtoviolet.com

Hi! I saw you in Bellinghan WA in late July. You are very beautiful all the way round soul spirit body. From a fellow warrior Keep on being just who you are. Never give in. If you are ever back in B'Ham I'll be sure to come and listen. Thanks Y-O-U

I was dragged out of my home by friends Sunday night, not willing or wanting to go anywhere after a long work day. After some prodding, I caved in. I didn't know where my friends where taking me. I have been grateful for them and there insistence of my presence ever since last night. We caught the Parrot Bay show and I too, became enchanted by the artist. Gilli is genuine and talented. The lyrics, the music, and the attitude make an impact to the degree I would call myself a fan only after one s

You enchanted me in Eugene, on the 26th. I think everyone was enchanted that night:). Loved the book, quite inspiring...not sure I am as ambitious! Good luck.

G, You're awesome and have a very illuminating soul. Stay peaceful.

congrads on your tour. it sounds like a lot of fun. iwill be checking out your show in august at the whiskey. good luck and i will see you and toni there.

August 7 - You were great, as always. Mesmerizing performance. I wish you good luck with your new CD. And definitely keep promoting each other. That would be cool. Rynata Femmuse www.femmuse.com

july 31, 2002 - Walkin' on the Moon (heading). Sent to the P.O Box typed, not signed, anonymous. Re-printed here word for word. I felt it important to show negative fan mail as well as positive, to be fair. Read my reaction to the letter in my Diary If you want to respond to this, write it here on the message board

27 mar 02 - Hi Warrior Woman, Easter greetings! I heard you perform at the Hard Rock in Phoenix earlier this year...you have amazing talent and great chops (voice). -Timothy

mar 26 02 - Well, folks, let me tell ya... Eileen C. and I went last night to this mexican restaurant waaayyy out in Woodland Hills where Gilli Moon decided to have her birthday paaaaty... at first we were wondering why on earth she would have it so far away (well, for us anyway...) but once we got there, we knew why hahaha... It's a great eating place with a room in the back that is set up for a cozy intimate live music experience and yes, mam, we were all treated to an exquisite performance by one of L.A.'s finest female vocalists. And that HAS to be GILLI MOON..... Backed up by her guitarist Gordie Germaine, she played on every string of our emotions. From sulty to rocking, from swaying to swinging... Gilli does it all. I feel like writing a review for Rolling Stone Mag hahaha... but let it suffice to say that she is truly a gifted artist. Check her out next chance you get. Happy B'day Gilli. 4th mar 02 - I am the technician you spoke with earlier today about the slowdown / stop in email. I am so happy that I was the one who got that call. I'll be even happier when I can clear a credit card enough to get that album! After browsing around on the site I was so impressed and really just had to pass that appreciation along! I am an artist and writer who believes in living to create things rather than creating things for a living. You seem to embrace that idea as well and your music clip was great! I need inspired music by inspired people in my life because it drives me on and you seem to have that. I hope I can purchase the your album and hear more soon. Warmest Regards! L Wisocki PS: I can't even begin to have words for the art yet...still looking in awe. You are truly blessed by a thousand muses!

feb 26, 02 - I am really impressed by your site and everything you have done ! Congratulations - Not that we really need it.......Basically we give out to the world and everything we need is rewarded! Thank you for the opportunity to program for you and I can honestly say that you have been a divine inspiration - for it is not only what we think and do that matters but also what we sing and say! - Carol Rhode

28 jan 02 robin and i just want to thank you for coming to play in our home attitude about the attendance problem. you were like, "well, let's just play for ourselves." after you left, we played the two-disc compilation. it was interesting, because live you reminded me a little of tori amos (at least for two songs) and fiona apple ("the seducer"), but on the compilation, as soon as track three came on, you reminded us all of kate bush. everyone who heard you last night came away very impressed. i certainly look forward with pleasure to seeing you again, tomorrow night and then again in february at rusty's surf ranch. robert and robin

12th jan 02 - Gilli, Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say you did a great job. Your experience and enjoyment show , which makes it pleasurable for everyone.  I’m still partial to the classics “Too Much” “So Far Away” etc. .....but I really liked the 1st 2 new songs you opened up with and I enjoyed “Naked”..... I encourage you to do more Gilli and the piano songs with maybe some light production if the spirit moves you. My personal opinion is that’s where you shine brightest. As we discussed there is many sides to all of us and you should explore all of them but up close and personal works well on your recordings as well....Just my humble opinion. Safe trip back home.....I don’t think I’ll be able to make the art exhibit.... Congrats and have a great time - jaen ;)

7th jan 02 Hi Gilli, I just wanted to let you know how much I love your CD!  Wow, I am impressed!  I have listened to the song 'Alive' at least 20 times today!  I can't get over how incredible that song is.  Your material has such depth and soul; I
really think you could write for film.  As Cindy said last night about one of your songs, it sounded like it could be in a musical.  I feel your songs do have that type of vibe.  I am also pretty blown away by your singing!  What I would give for a voice like that!  And this is not just talk; I give sincere credit where it's due.  I hear a lot of local artists here and have purchased many CDs.  There are so many gifted musicians/songwriters, but your CD really went beyond the typical type of sound.  It was quite different and creative.  I'm only sorry I haven't heard your music until now!    Again, great work on the CD.  Talk to you soon. Peace, Terri DiMarco

october 01 - Musical athmosphere respects and go for it with the good willing
wishes! The world would be empty place without those songs. Keep filling worlds gaps with the thoughts of Your music. All the best!

10-24-01 Hey I LOVED YOUR CD. Temperamental angel and swimming were my favorite. I was really impressed with it and I'm not bullshitting you. Really really awesome, now you just need to make another CD, and then another and another, etc. Very very good! peter

10-8-01 - hello there. you are an amazing songwriter gilli...i am soo impressed.

hope you are settling back into your us home. peace & love be with you

10-6-01 - You really put on a show don't you ?......It was very interesting 4 me seeing you live now as to 4 years or so ago , and what really stood out to me was how it was so tight as a band .I'll try to explain ...... it was always "Gilli" singing on stage , with you in tune and full of confidence but some how now reaching your full potential. Now i know it wasn't you not having alot of experience as such but it was who u had with you on stage . You all project this wave of energy that is very powerful. You all not only sound great and tight but also enjoy what your doing .As to it was YOU who sounded great and enjoyed what you were doing . The album shows that even as good as it is , you are better ( as a band ) now and have a greater feel for the songs now . The next album you do I strongly suggest you try to capture more of your live sound as it has a better edge to some of the songs .... In finishing I was and am and always will be very proud of you and what you have done so far , and I'm looking fwd to hearing & seeing the next stage of your career . I had a great time you look great and hope we can catch up again soon .......all the best.

p.s that song Damaged & Broken ........god ... its unreal !!!! put it on the next disk !!!!!!!

10-3-01 Hi gilli, Just wanted to let you know that I have been listening to you CD and I ADORE it!!! I think the track 'Temperamental Angel' is my favourite but I love all of them! The production I spot on and all the songs, melody, lyric and structure wise are strong - commercial without a hint of cheese - just the way I hope my album will be when it's done. All very inspiring..congratulations!! And please keep in touch and let me know what you get up to. And if you need a bands/acoustic act as support when you tour back here, give me a yell.

9-25-01

Dear Gilli,

My name is Tarryn Walter, I was at your show at the harbourside Brasserie on the 25th of september, I thought u were really great.

My brother Jarrod was one of the dancers that danced along to shine, he was full on bragging that he gats to dance with you and a whole lot of other really cool stuff, I'm so JEALOUS!!!!, he is so lucky to have a friend like Sarie who can get him involved in all this stuff.

Over all I would just like to say YOU REALLY ROCK!!!

  Tarryn

9-25-01 Dearest Gilli, Well, you certainly are full of surprises! Thank U for your wonderful show; I have just arrived home, and wanted to write and thank U before going to bed. I have listened to your album many times, and tonight was one of those nights for me that doesn't come along often, because seeing your show was something I was long awaiting. And it was better, much better actually, than I expected, although expectations are something I am not having as many of these days. And I didn't expect to see you perform in Australia at all, least of all so soon. I wanted to say how much your song lyrics touched me, as there are many of your songs (and especially the 2 unrecorded ones) that describe the longing for the lost inner child, and the war between confronting and letting go of the past. I really enjoyed your lyrics, and your stage presence ... well ... I don't need to tell you that you looked as comfortable and were as entertaining and creative as always! I affirm you on your piano playing too! :) Great work! Your confidence is an inspiration to me. Take care Gilli. Until next time,Lotz of Love 'n' hugz, Vikki XXX

9-24-01  it was so great to see you perform on Saturday! You are such an entertainer and you have such a strong voice, maybe one day I will get to see one of your full on band shows. Anyway, if any of the pictures I took are good I will get you copies. HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL AND FANTASTIC!!!!!!!! AND WELL WHILE YOUR AT IT .........LUCRATIVE:) AUSTRALIAN TOUR!!!!!!!!!!! Look forward to seeing you again in October or November for the songwriter's workshop, Heather www.mp3.com/HeatherBaker

7-28-01 - Hey Gilli, It seems you have mistaken my email address for someone else.  I have to admit when I got your email I was thinking "What in the world?!?!"  I had no idea who you were.  Your name sounded so familiar so I looked you up on the Internet.  I couldn't believe that a famous rock star had emailed me!  I know that you must be busy & probably are disgusted that I took such interest in an email that was sent to the wrong person.  I downloaded some of your music (which I know love).  It seems so odd that you make the kind of art (aka music) that I love.  I know that to you this is some silly letter that you'll probably toss away before even finishing.  But I have to admit that I am taken away by this pure coincidence.  I love music.  Music is like my escape from everything.  It's like going to the beach & you get that feeling of freeness all around you. Obviously it has the same effect on you.  My best friend, like you, has a beautiful voice and has hopes of becoming a singer.  It will be so funny to see her face when I tell her someone 'important' accidentally emailed me.  Well thanks for your time, and I wish you best of luck with your music career. What an odd way to make a fan right?

With Blessings & Prayers,

Kristi-one of your newest fans

P.S. I hope you find the real email address of the person you were looking for.....

7-23-01 - i just listened to your cd and i was floored  - a great production!!!!!!

You are a fabulous singer - well I could tell at the show - yet missed alot -I want to alert you that your band mix was too loud in relation to your vocals in the live setting(all sound men are deaf anyway and they had you and your kick-ass  amazing band cranked to the max) just an idea - once your mix is done with the sound man - have everybody turn down a notch- then your vocals will stand out better - we are missing the lyric content and nuances of your incredible soulfulness and sexiness of your singing - which is too fabulous to be believed - and so refreshingly un-contrived yet masterfully pop at the same time. You sing alot about drowning and swimming - I want you to know they are drowning you out. I hurts me when this happens to singers - and it does oh so often.

Nonetheless your sheer energy - your entire gesalt and the raw energy of your vocals carried the show magnificently.

I think you have amazing songs - and some commercial

Naked is a hit

swimming is a classic break up song -  so universal yet so quirkyly put - I just love how uncliche yet spot on your lyrics work - and how your capture the sadness - and are so incredibly moving for this jaded listener. you barely ever using rhyme - maybe in the hooky chorus -  yet your stuff still sounds commercial -

The other tunes I love is the hard hitting rock tune:

disgrace - I want to send it to my last boyfriend for review  - not because he' a record critique and journalist - but because it exactly communicated my sentiments about our relationship

why do you still love me could be the theme for a romantic movie about a dysfunctional relationship - this song is a sleeper hit - like a country ballad can be sometimes

temperamental angel is great too - oh I like alot more - I just don't want you getting a big fat head now - just kidding.

All in all - your live performance was flawless and your raw chi-factor(Joel Jaffe used this term to describe you which I thought was so interesting and well said) a powerful force which never lost my interest - and I am pretty jaded i have to admit.

It's amazing how tough and vulnerable you are at once.

You sing like a soul-diva and look like a fem/butch baby-faced-tae-bo warrior with a your curvy body and ample rack your honest sexuality produces moves reminiscent of a pornstar in one glimspe and r&b hiphop dancer  the next - and a defiant toppy young elzbo the next(though there is no real gay over tone to be sure about) you are a welcome relief from the plaintiff/somewhat passive folk/rock artists and and the hard-core rocker gyrations which in my opinion usually are predictable and contrived - your movement is so integrated and seamless and interesting - so incredibly non-repetitive - so very rock and roll - so NOT "performance art" (save the wing/transition and the painting bit - which obviously is an unusual thing to see in a band and will cause you to be noticed especially - though it is fascinating - you alone are so interesting - the painting felt to me a bit anti-climactic at moments - perhaps you are giving us a break from the intsensity - I never wanted you to stop moving around )  - your choregraphy makes you a very commercially viable video/stage vixen  - a darkly sexy and brilliant antithesis to brittany spears with the truth on overdrive -your are the make-upless "real" non-skinny sex symbol for the young anti-establishment - you will be a star - play progressive colleges/art schools/ my dear - they will adore you.

My dear - you have it all!!!!!!!! - Amy Camus- Co-Founder DivaBands

7-17-01 gilli...Hope you have a great show... wish I could be there. I would form a fan club and surround the stage with groupies.

You are the kind of artist that deserves to make it big. Your intelligent approach to all aspects of this mission has not gone unnoticed. Our best to you and Warrior Girl Music.

You are still in medium rotation spin here at theWave (KRSC-FM) Claremore/TULSA. Thanks for the cross marketing by including some of my comments on your web page. It's nice to have an Australia connection via Hollywood...

2 july 01 - Hi Gilli, thanks for including me on "News from the Moon". I look forward to hearing you at the Gig and I'm fairly sure I can catch you at the Hot Wired Cafe. I live pretty close to both locations. Last Friday, I was listening to my CD here in the office from my computer drive. Not the same experience as being able to pump up the volume at home and relishing every beat. I love all the songs especially Disgrace - very powerful and it sure it's home. Ouch! -

16 june 01 - I had a great time last night at Hard Rock Cafe! You and your band are AWESOME. Michelle loved you too and she couldn't wait to get home and play the CD. - Lourdes

24 may 01 - Hi, As an Mp3.com artist I listen to a lot of band to discover new talent. I looked at your web site and your song has something different from the others. I like the way you combine your sounds. Good luck with your future projects. Dj ZaZe http://www.mp3.com/codebass Ps : Sorry for my bad english, my first language is French.

24 may 01 - wow!  I listened to it again and again, analyzed it turned it inside out and listened to it again. It reminds me of this Ozzie band I worked with back in my BMG days called the Baby Animals and not only that, there's something that makes it unique and much better than a lot of stuff out there right now... I wish you could make a trip to the East coast 'cause I'd really like to here you live (cybercasts don't really work well for me). Anyway thanks for the CD it's really good and extremely well mixed... there's not a song on it that I don't like. Get to New York!!!! - marco rosa

15 may 01 - We love you and we're so proud of you. Fantastic words and music
If heart has anything to do with it you're there. John, Jack, Jill and Daisy

5 may 01 - Compliments on your Website. It is very well done and I agree that Lucien has a huge potential. His talent and dedication will lead him to success. Good job Gilli ! and thank you for helping other artists. Martine

5 may 01 - Well I finally got the chance to meet you... You know when we talk over the phone its easy to put a picture with the voice and I'm not sure about you but we are typically surprised when we see the "real" picture of who we work with.  I have had the pleasure of viewing and listening to your CD... Temperamental Angel.  My most favorite recording is Naked.  It has a terrific sound, your voice is beautiful and it flows wonderfully.  My hat off to you.  Its always been a dream of mine to record and sing.  In fact... many years ago, when I was a young gal, I did record a few songs.  The team I worked with was terrific but for many factors, I could not pursue what I love so much. I have three daughters and my youngest is most vocal.  She is six.  She and I sing together and she has come to know the music scale, she has vibrato and just throws herself into music.  It brings me much joy
