Females On Fire, the Los Angeles Women's
Music Festival in Los Angeles,
attracting 3000 people, on Saturday
25th, August 2007 and it was a huge
success! Celebrating
women in music and the men and women who
love them, Females On Fire - The Los
Angeles Women's Music Festival, featured
more than 100 artists and performers
from around the world, including female
headline acts and an eclectic array of
female singer/songwriters and
female-fronted bands representing all
styles and genres of music. Also
included were poets and spoken word
artists, comedians, as well as vendor
and exhibitor booths, children's
activities, workshops, vegan and organic
food vendors, healing arts, pet
adoptions and more. Proceeds of this
year's festival benefited animal rescue
organizations.

April 10, Females on Fire artists were
featured on "Mister B's Jukebox", an
international internet radio show
broadcast from Cerritos College,
www.WPMD.org, in southern California. Mr.
B's Jukebox is a groovy cool college
campus radio show heard worldwide in
various U.S. markets with listeners
worldwide in New Dehli, London, and
now in Russia often calling in. With
hosts Mo Power and Mister B, the
Females on Fire project was promoted
with tracks from Amy Lennard "I Wish
It Were Mine", Holly Light
"Forgiveness Road and gilli moon
"Be" played during the Females
on
Fire segment. Cyndi Vellmure's
track, "Break Your Heart", closed out
the jukebox selection.
