Franck Bensoussan
(aka Lucien, Mr. B) - French born, L.A based artist reaches deep into the mystic realms of sonically powerful music. Franck is a producer with Warrior Girl Music and we are proud to announce his music releases below.

Franck Bensoussan was born in a small village in Champagne, France. Starting at the age of 5 years old, Franck was already showing signs of musical creativity and showmanship, encouraged greatly by his father, also a musician. The two of them would often entertain guests for the evening, his father on guitar and Franck on drums and voice, often surprising his audience as he’d naturally improvise lyrics and melodies.

In 1999, Franck signed to tribe Records and released an eclectic World concept album under his stage name "Lucien", working with WGM's gilli moon on marketing and cd art. The record combines a mixture of Contemporary music with Native American Indian influences. Franck is a multi-instrumentalist and through the Tribe released album, "Man To Steam", he offers the listener a wonderful blend of piano, keyboards, ethnic flutes, harmonica, percussion, didgeridoo and vocals.

In 2000, Franck played didgeridoo and percussion on gilli moon's "temperamental angel" album. Since then they have collaborated on songs and productions especially for children.

As a music teacher, Franck is known by his students as Mr.B. Over the years, Mr.B has written many songs for his pupils and has now released an introductory 5 song kids album that can be found at Cdbaby.com. This music is fun, educational, hip, and full of soul. Having a love and respect for children of all ages, Franck has also recently undertaken a teenage pop band project as a co-songwriter/co-producer with a team of rising artists. Try to check out his work, for so long it was hidden.

"I have been teaching kids for many years and not a day goes by that I am not in awe of them. They're freedom of imagination and their sponge like attitude goes right along with my approach to musicality. In my classes the kids experience music in as many different ways as possible and for numerous reasons as well. We sing songs and dance, study music terminology, draw and write poems to music, improvise lyrics and melodies, talk about music styles and composers, take the time to listen to the music of silence and have a lot of fun too. My motive for teaching is to plant in kids a seed of love for music in order to provide them with an outlet for their own expression and discovery. I have written numerous songs for kids and my students enjoy singing them greatly. My goal is to produce kids and their music as I have discovered that besides my eminent connection with these little people, they inspire me as much as I inspire them.”

In 2005, as Lucien, he has released "Purpose and Peace" which
can be found at Cdbaby.com

"My intention while recording "Purpose & Peace" was to create something simple, soulful, slow, and with a lot of space. I came to my creative dungeon in the beautiful San Jacinto Mountains every day to embody that state of mind. Not only for the sake of my sonic vision for this project, but also for my own mental, emotional, and psychological healing within the process. At the time, I was experiencing struggle in my life and needed to surrender my human tendency for control, judgment, and fear. Volume 1 of this record helped me through this process."

All songs are recorded in a one track at a time, one take only, improvised fashion. This gives the record a loose and raw eclectic sound that is at once soulful and gentle, yet deeply driving, empowering, and visionary for the listener. It is a journey and each song emanates a state of mind intended for higher awareness. It is a record designed to make the listener calm, light, introspective, and inspired in the ways of the self, reality and personal truth. Lucien will be releasing volume 2 of "Purpose & Peace", later on this year.
