Born in
Milan Italy, and raised in the wilderness "bush" just north of
Sydney, Australia, Gilli Moon is a force to be reckoned with in
the music industry. She is a singer, songwriter, recording
artist, pianist, actor, producer, author, painter, motivator,
entrepreneur, visionary and empowering community builder, and
like her company name, she is truly a Warrior Girl.
Her restless
creativity and rebellious nature continually urge the artist to
push the envelope when writing a song, recording in the studio,
on stage, in business and with whatever she touches.
Gilli
(pronounced as with a "J") is an illustrious, energetic
poly-media artist, with multifaceted albums and dynamic live
shows that have touched music lovers worldwide garnering high
praise from the most jaded of critics. For the past 10 years she
has been one of Australia's most influential and iconic Artists,
forging an independent path before anyone knew what "indie" was.
She has produced and released 5
studio music albums of her original music, to critical
acclaim, released several EPs and singles, written hundreds of
songs, winning songwriting and artist awards and licensing to
film and television show, and has performed around the world
many times.

Recently she was interviewed in Newsweek magazine as a pioneer
and leader in the independent music business; been featured
alongside Aimee Mann in discussing their mutual success in the
indie music scene in Music Connection Magazine; and has had
music at No. 1 on many internet and traditional radio stations.
She is constantly featured in the media, online, and radio with

As a music producer with her own record company,
Warrior Girl Music, she has recorded and
released over 20 Artists’ albums as well as music compilations.
She is the CEO
of her own record company, artist development and production house
Warrior Girl Music (which is
home to several internationally based artists including over 100
female artists on her compilations "Females
On Fire"
and the
Art of Men Cd), and in 07, she co-founded and co-produced the
inaugural Los Angeles Women's
Music Festival, featuring over 60 artists and attracting
more than 3,000 on the day, raising funds for animal rescue.
Gilli’s songwriting has
proved strong for her career, being an international award
winner and a writer for several Artists' projects. Some of her
award credits include Song of the Year and others by the Benelux
International Song & Culture Festival (The Netherlands); Best
Popular Song by the Johnny Dennis Light Music Awards (Australian
Guild of Screen Composers), Best Solo Artist (twice) at L.A’s
Rock City Music Awards (winning over Aly McBeal's Vonda Shephard);
nominated Best Female Singer/Songwriter by the Los Angeles Music
Awards; and, honored as “Outstanding Contribution as an Artist”
by Hollywood’s Artist For A Better World organization. Her songs
have been featured in independent films and network U.S
television programs worldwide including Disney, Nickelodeon, CBS
and other major network shows and movies of the week. Her songs
have also graced theater productions and have been recorded by
other artists including Dutch artist, Erikah Karst
(Mercury/Universal), produced by David Kershenbaum (Tracy

Gilli has

10 years of coaching and motivational speaking experience,
she has opened the doors at her company, Warrior Girl Music, for consulting and
coaching
emerging and professional artists..
Inspired to
make a difference in the music industry for songwriters, Gilli
co-founded Songsalive!,
in 1997, which is now the largest internationally based non-profit
songwriters organization. For Songsalive!, Gilli, as President,
has established over 25 chapters around the world, with 35
volunteer staff, hosting monthly workshops, showcases and other
programs for songwriters.
With her Songsalive! world nation, as well as her record label
Warrior Girl Music, Gilli has effectively brought together
thousands of artists and songwriters together under various
umbrellas, whether it be music conferences, song retreats and
workshops, or with her own dynamic and thought provoking rock
music concerts, as a live entertainer herself: her ultimate
passion.
Gilli has
written a motivational book for
artists of all genres called "I AM A Professional Artist -
the Key to Survival and Success in the World of the Arts"
based on her experiences in the music and general arts
businesses as an artist and entrepreneur, and is currently
writing her sophomore book release "Just Get Out There"
due in 2009.
