Hi Gilli-
Just wanted to say, I'm impressed with how much you're doing in the music business! I heard your songs first (love your voice btw), and thru clicking on different things, found your work w/ Females on Fire compilations and Warrior Girl Music and Songsalive!...pretty amazing that one person is doing all that. I wish I lived closer to LA so I could check it all out! Perhaps someday. In the meantime, thanks for the inspiration--it's good to know there are people in the industry looking out for the little guys (i.e. the newcomers and little-knowns:-)
All the best with your music and career!
Jessica

Gilli, It was good seeing you again at your lecture the other day. Most of what you were talking about are things I feel very familiar with, but everyone always puts something of themselves into how they communicate things like that and I really liked the flavor of what you brought to it. I must say I'm really impressed with the creativity you display in different ways, or in general I should say. I haven't taken the time to check out everything on your website in detail but the songs I listened to sounded great and the other stuff seemed like something I'd like to check out more. Being someone who loves to paint, draw and write as well as working with music I love to come across other people that just have a natural urge to express something in any way they can. As I told you when I saw you, what hit me the most though were the way you emphasized warrior-ship as a way of life, which is exactly the path I do my best to walk on. It's definitely a misunderstood concept in general with people who don't look a little deeper into what it truly means. The book I was talking about on that subject is called: "Shambala - The Sacred Path of the Warrior" by Choguam Trungpa, and is based on the ancient Tibetan shambala-tradition. Definitely worth checking out for anybody with an interest in true warrior-ship. One of my most favorite books ever. - Magnus

Gilli, i really enjoyed the article here on being a sort of slave to your artistic driven self. I feel like that a lot when i don't write each Tuesday with my co write ,or i don't play my guitar ,or even pick up a pencil. I feel a big low if i skip out on my writing etc. Thanks for your inspiring topic, it really lets me be at ease when i read that others feel low when they don't create each day. You are right on the money ,we need to live and breathe at times without our creativity taking up our life as a whole!! Thanks . S.Dee from  NY. USA!

Gilli, I met you at the “Temecula Film & Music Festival” a couple of months ago, and got your book “I am a professional artist” and your wonderful CD. I just want you to know, I loved your motivational speech and your inspiring book. And you got a fan on your musical art, for sure! Thank you for your kindness and inspiring courage! Sincerely, Simone Talarico-Ross

Hey kido just wanted to tell ya that I'm about half way through your book and it's really good. I agree with everything you are saying and am doing a lot of things you are suggesting to do and sometimes it's just good to hear that you're on the right path. I like how you have the Tony Robbins quote in the beginning and the 3 O's! I've been saying for a while that I want to get a tatoo in chinese maybe on my left forearm so when I'm playing my guitar I can see it that means "Always believe in yourself" because without that you have nothing. It kinda goes back to the quote by Henry Ford, "Whether you think you can or whether you think you can; either way you're right." Anyway, just wanted to let ya know I like your book and respect you very much as an artist.
Steve

Thank you for inspiring me in the classroom (Taxi Road Rally, Driver's Ed) and through your book. Now I'm getting to know some of your music for the first time and really enjoying your artistry. You rock girl! I can't wait to discover what will grow out of the inspiration and encouragement you have blessed me with. You truly have the heart of an artist.
Thanks
Randy
I AM

Hi Gilli

I met you at Cat Cohen's class last month.  Your book is great, and sets out all the psychology aspects really well.  Beethoven once said he wished that there was an art exchange, giving fair value for the art sold!  Rock on and rock out! ~ Simon

Hey Gilli, I like your material, music and books. Impressive that you can touch people with all your hard work. I think Im about 80% away on that level but I'm happy with some of my results. Check out my site if you are interested www.thejango.com Have fun, Oliver

10 Kudos to represent all the Great and Extraordinary things you continue to do for the world and the generations to come! I look forward to what new discoveries of truth, creativity, inspiration, encouragement, wisdom that your book will plant in myself and others lives. You are truly one in a billion for this generation and already deserve to be considered a true visionary mastermind for all that you have contributed to making the world and other's lives better, beautiful and brighter with your books, music, paintings...etc. You are like a modern day Trinity (the Matrix) that I can say I have had the pleasure of knowing and seeing perform Impossible feats that the Industry and World said could not be done! Thank you for freeing our minds to be able to define success and learn the do's and donts of being a Professional Artist! You are blessed to have mentored the masses and to have such a great team on your side to include Toni who is a mother to all those who need love, encouragement and let's not forget hugs!!! Because of your presence in my life and others I am now encouraged to raise the bar in my life and really make my life and days count with Purpose and Passion!!! Hope to come see you perform again sometime in 2006! Nicholis

Gilli:  You always amaze me with all you can do!  I will learn alot about you, the industry and life....can't wait for the book - Nancy Nickle, Catz Go Round Records

I love reading your thoughts.  I am just starting as a songwriter and have all the fears and dreams you write about.  Thanks for the inspiration. John In Florida

Hi Gilli, I just want to say thanks for your "food for thought- freedom". It really came at a good time for me, with an album recently completed and a bunch of fear rising in the face of my ambitions for the next steps. It's good to be reminded that it is a journey. I'm reminded of a Joseph Campbell quote, "sometimes we have to give up the life we've planned in order to have the one that awaits us". So, thanks, - Brett Robin Wood

Having checked out your amazing website and visited many areas of it... plus listened and watched your video and read your diary amongst a lot of other fascinating pages... all I can say is WOW,... IF THERE IS ANYONE WHO DESERVES TO MAKE IT 'AWESOME' IT HAS TO BE... YOU. I have downloaded your e-book IAAPA and will read it avidly as soon as it arrives....I was ecstatic when i read the Tony Robbins and Neale Donald Walsch - items you have included....... what mega messengers they are...and i have to say YOU are certainly in their league as a guide and mentor for people like me wherever we live in the world. Thank you so much - shooka

You are a true "power" to the multitude of musicians, wanting to make a lucrative life as an artist. Thanks, again & again, for your positive and outreaching nature! You're a true inspiration. We DO get what we reap! Warmly, Marie W-B

I got your newsletter and I just wanted to tell you that I think what you have done and continue to do is simply amazing. You really have tapped into your bliss and you continue on that journey like the warrior girl that you are. You are an inspiration not only to artist but audience as well. I've been reading these wonderful books lately that speak of this place of bliss that one must follow. It's a joy to see that you are one with happiness and
to me, that is the essence of this life time. peaceandlove, R

“Your words are fundamental, spare and powerful.  ... your thoughts roll like fresh apricots into my spam-cram mailbox, and reach into my soul.  I'm tired, you warm and refreshing.  I'm wrung from giving all, you bring me all that I am.  Thank you for being simply gilli moon, and for taking time to send the love.  Thank you for being exactly that, in this moment.  I could kiss you head to toe, if you won't mind tears of gratefulness!”

“I wanted to tell you how much I respect and appreciate who you are as an artist/person. Your spiritual perspective is so clear and right. Thank you for always having the ability to verbalize your thoughts.”

"Your "Food for Thought" is RIIIIIGHT ON! Enjoyed reading it!  Thanks for continuing to inspire."

I just read your "Food for Thought" and I just wanted to tell you how much I respect and appreciate who you are as an artist/person. Your spiritual perspective is so clear and right. Thank you for always having the ability to verbalize your thoughts. I will be posting (quotes) on our site.

Dear Gilli, I just wanted to share with you how very much I appreciate you in all your guises. Since we started to work together there is a brand new feeling of inspiration that has filled me, a new sense of power and grace. I Am grateful. I'm intrigued, excited, determined and joyous to know the tasks before me. : - ) I'm thrilled to have embarked on this part of the journey with you as a part of my life, thank you for sharing, for caring and for being such a strong inspiring force.

Thank you Gilli for all you've done for the musical community. And thank you for offering me a place to share my original music. Your example is empowering and inspiring. God bless and Happy New Year! With appreciation, Shanna O'Brien

I just want to congratulate you on your award at the Artists for a Better World Festival!  I've heard so many great things about your wonderful work with other artists, starting with my "son" Val Gameiro. I'm a poet, actress, screenplay and literary writer and editor myself, and was a pro singer for many years in younger days (:  I'm also serving as a producer in my husband Tom's business, too.
All the Best! Jan

Gilli, Thanks again for the wonderful seminar at West LA music the other night. I was the one who won your CD and I am enjoying it right now. Thanks, Stefano Ashbridge

Hi Gilli, thank you so much for the seminar last night. It was both comforting and inspiring, and i was glad that i got to say hi to you afterwards. i am really looking forward to participating in the Songsalive! Expo and i look forward to seeing you there! All the best, emilie b. /eve's garden

I admire you so much for all that you do, You are an amazing mentor, so I was going to order your book, I am a Professional Artist,

I am reading a book right now called " The Artists Way" by Julia Cameron It is so good!  I am realizing more and more that I have to " do what it takes" to get my music and message out to the world. And that is alot of hard work & dedication...which is what I see in YOU.

I'm almost done with Gilli's book. What a tremendous resource she's created. I haven't even finished it and i have already recommended it to some fellow artists. Peace, Eddie

The book seems to have come at a very good time for me... your powerful optimism and sincerity are very uplifting for me.  "You have to want it bad enough to get up out of bed".  I really agree with that totally.

I read your book in a day and I am going through it again, slowly... soaking up the details. The book is stimulating, refreshing yet challenging ... It is a great companion book to The Artists Way. It is giving me 'new insights' for  changing my world. which is AWESOME! Thank-you so much for being REAL and sharing your thoughts , beliefs and wisdom. Carly

"I just wanted to drop you a note because I read something fantastic this weekend...your book! I'm just sorry I wasn't able to get to it earlier! You have a wonderful and inspiring message peppered with little gems throughout, and it was a pleasure to read! I am definitely inspired" - Happy Holidays, Danica L. Mathes, Esq

"Wanted you to know that I love your book and cd. I will probably buy more of them as gifts for friends.I started reading your book last night! It is awesome. I subscribe to the philosophies and belief systems that you have in the book, and I have been trying to do the same thing myself in my life. I work at home as a freelance computer consultant, while I am pursuing my music career. I also have interests in healing modalities. I am a Reiki practitioner, as well as I do some energy psychology healing with traumas and phobias, etc. My problem I have been having is the time-management. I usually end up on my computer way too long, and don't get to the writing end of things since I am doing the business end of music as well. It is hard for me to get the balance right. I am still working on getting that balance. I am still challenged with making work fun. So there are a few things I am working on right now. Your book is going to help me with this as I can tell already. I am hoping that when I meet you perhaps you will lend me some tips just from getting to know how you handle your life. It seems that you are very on top of it, and I am amazed at all your accomplishments. Diane Falcone"

".. I have been reading your book and I love it. Your strategies and your approach to life is very similar to those of mine. I'm more of a student of life kind of person you discussed, sucking in info, and self growth, we'll for now anyway. As a reader I enjoyed, and appreciated the assertive manner in which you expressed your idea's. I tend to get frustrated and a bit (o.k. alot) bored if people crap on for too long. Patience, now there's a thought maybe I should work on that, he he. Anyway, it was good to get to know you better through your book. But on the more serious side it helped me pin point a few emotional issues in particular that have been a bit of a struggle lately, .. Just needed some personal maintenance and rejuvenating. Anyway thanks for giving me personal reference guide to take along the ride. See ya, Bel"

..."Excellent book! I read this book from cover to cover the day it arrived. It is very informative and motivational. Gilli Moon is an excellent example to follow when it comes to being an independent artist. I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in a professional career in the arts." Melissa M Williams, Orange County CA

... "Gilli's book helped me define my goals and what success and dreams and visions mean to me as well as art and business. I love and enjoy making mine and others dreams come true! An encourager of faith and dreams is what I will continue to strive for! Dream the IMPOSSIBLE!" Nicholis Washburn

..."I found it to be a work of inspiring, practical, no-bullshit, fair dinkum advice. Fabian also was moved. The chapter dealing with "Get a Job" prompted an intense discussion between the husband and I resulting in him going for a job he wouldn’t have normally considered... I expect, just writing your book, has been hugely cathartic and enlightening for you. I found it fab!"  Jodie Harrison

..." This couldn't have come at a better time in my creative growth. I'm experiencing some serious writer's block and really appreciate the love and support you express in this message. Your generosity of spirit is truly appreciated." Lexie Col

Hey Gilli, Just wanted to say that I bought your bookk from 'The hippy shop' a cool little shop on the beach here in OZ...and I can't put it down. I am a young artist and people like you are an inspiration. Your book is amazing and I'll definately aspire from it. Keep up the great work. Live your dreams.... :)

Greetings from Melbourne. I first listened to your album two weeks ago and was moved to the point where, at times, I wanted to dance and, others, I was happy to quietly sit and listen to the lovely lyrics and eclectic beat. As I am, by nature a hyper-on-the-run kinda girl, your album struck a welcome balance to my ears. Congratulations, I think it’s great. Ten minutes ago I finished reading your book. I would of read it sooner but 1. My husband Fabian was reading it and 2. I was coming down from the madness of the Blues Festival and wanted to clear the head. I found it to be a work of inspiring, practical, no-bullshit, fair dinkum advice. Fabian also was moved. The chapter dealing with "Get a Job" prompted an intense discussion between the husband and I resulting in him going for a job he wouldn’t have normally considered (a supporting role with The Wiggles). He’s at the 2nd call-back as I write. I am a huge Julia Cameron fan and have a signed copy of The Artist’s Way. I was introduced to her writings by a dear friend Tim Wheater, a flautist who has played with London Symphony Orchestra, The Eurythmics, Ugly Kid Joe and has become a respected sound healer. He and Julia have collaborated on a number of projects. The Road Less Travelled is also on my book shelf and dragged out when I feel like I could do with an "upper" read. Anyway, I expect, just writing your book, has been hugely cathartic and enlightening for you. I found it fab! I hope life back in La-La-Land is healthy and happy for you. Thanks for being a great speaker at Australian Music Week and an all-round sassy girl. I’d love to keep in touch with you and shall pop in to your websites regularly. Thanks again Gilli, - Jodie

Thanks so much for coming to Dallas and being part of IMC. Your work ethic is inspirational and I really appreciate the insights you gave concerning the international touring stuff. best, Mike Dawson

I meant to write earlier and let you know how much I enjoyed hearing you at the conference last Nov. You were inspiring. Also have made a fan out of me.....great songs & very cool production on the latest project!  All the best, Jenn Franklin

I joined Songsalive! after going to one of Gilli Moon's workshops in CT. The things that most impressed me about Gilli was her positive attitude.  She says YES to life and doesn't back down from new challenges.  She sees opportunities where others might see dead ends. Her heart is open and her face is full of light!! I want to be around someone like that!!  I love seeing positive people that go for it in life!  I enjoyed hearing her CD and reading her book this morning.  Just went on the Songsalive! website and got an elite membership. I'd also be interested in starting a chapter in the New Haven area.

Finally, I have a chance to put a face to the name. It’s not like I haven’t seen you picture, but your energy is inspiring. I feel overly lucky to have the opportunity to be involved with you. You have inspired me to intensely continue to pursue my dream. It is empowering to know that you are doing what I want to be doing. You are beautiful, and talented in every way. Susan, Soultree

I enjoyed the opportunity to witness you in various modes - workshop, spoken word, stunning performance, chatting on the street, and I wanted to let you know that I really got: keeping the fire, inside of me and art as a lifelong process - it doesn't matter what age you are among other things. In joyous creativity and appreciation of trust" Danica

Nick Punal reviews gilli moon's Songsalive! seminar: Doing It The Indie Way.
Read his review

Estrogenius Review - The album Bother Me by Dina Gathe, is a huge album, both in content and ambition. There are 15 tracks, and each song is a work of high quality. While listening to the album, I got the distinct impression that Chrissie Hynde was there in spirit. Then I read Ms Gathe's bio, and sure enough, Ms Hynde was listed as a major influence. But I also heard echoes of everyone from U2 to Faith Hill. Ms Gathe is a strong enough songwriter that she can ease into different genres without sounding like she's stretching. I'd also like to point out that the album was produced by Gilli Moon, an Indie Pop artist in her own right (also heard on Estrogenius), as well as a producer, promoter, and motivator extraordinaire. Ms Moon runs her own label, Warrior Girl Music, and a publishing company, with the mission of providing exposure to deserving female artists. In other words, it's exactly like what I'M trying to do, but fortunately Ms Moon also has talent.

Congratulations to you Gilli for the fantastic Females On Fire album debut.  I can only guess how many hours of preparation and arrange that went into this one evening.  It was my honor to open this great night and then to meet and listen to so many talented performers.  Thank you--Penelope Torribio

A great performance and a great show. I know you were really busy, if fact you and Toni both had your hands full, but the show was terrific. A wonderful night of talent at the Females On Fire album launch. I enjoyed all the artists and the show ran very smooth. In all, a great job.Congrats, All the best,
Matt Forger

Gilli & Toni, Thank you for inviting us to be part of the Females On Fire album launch. It was a great night & we truly enjoyed ourselves. I know a lot of work went into the organization & preparation of the event & we very much appreciate your efforts.
